CVAP Week 4 Blog
LAST WEEK OF SESSIONS
I can't believe that it's the fourth week of sessions. In the first few weeks it was all about the equipment, the craft, and the skills that we would need to become a voice artist. Now that we have been equipped of the knowledge of becoming a voice artist, we are learning about the nitty gritty parts as well. Our session in the morning talked about a voice artist's contract and rates. We also talked about the red flags in a contract, what to look out for so that we would not get scammed by clients.
We also tackled making demo reels, somewhat of a glimpse of what you can do that you can directly send to clients.
In the afternoon session, the mentors live commented on the assignments of my batch mates. I can really see that I am with a group of impeccably talented people and I would not be shocked to see one of them succeed in this field.
It has been hard to keep up with the assignments because of work especially the past few weeks that I seem to always need to go on overtime because of the different submission I have. Nevertheless, I made it to week 4 of this journey and I couldn't be prouder of myself with all the growth I had these past few weeks.
